Susan Pevensie - oldest girl of the four children in "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe"Susan is the second Pevensie child, sent along with her sister and brothers by their parents out of war-torn World War II London to the English countryside for her own safety. Along with Peter, she tries to act as a surrogate parent to her younger siblings, trying to maintain a family atmosphere in their new surroundings. This task is made more difficult by her younger sister Lucy's insisting on the wild story of entering a magical land named Narnia through a magical wardrobe in the house that they are all staying in. Edmund's persistent teasing of Lucy further complicates her efforts to keep the family together. A very different struggle awaits Susan Pevensie once she, along with her three siblings, enter the land of Narnia through the magic Wardrobe, and are thrust into a battle between the White Witch and her curse of perpetual winter, and the forces of Aslan, the Great Lion, true King of Narnia.
