The Three Stooges: Stooges and the Law gives five Three Stooges classics, all dealing with the Three Stooges and Curly in particular: "Idiots Deluxe" (1935), "Pop Goes the Easel" (1935), "The Three Trouble Doers" (1946), "Yes, We Have No Bonanza" (1939), "In the Sweet Pie and Pie" (1941). A nice compilation of classic Curly clown capers, very funny shorts, and excellent slapstick..

I rate it 5 clowns - highly recommended.

"Idiots Deluxe" (1935): Moe is on trial for assaulting Larry and Curly with an axe. Moe relates how Larry and Curly took Moe on a hunting trip to soothe his nerves. In the woods, Larry and Curly meet a bear, and manage to knock it out -- thinking that it was dead, the Stooges put the bear in the back seat of the car as a trophy to take back. On the return trip, the bear regains consciousness, throws Moe out of the back seat, assaults Larry and Curly, and crashes the car into a tree. The Judge, played by Stooge regular Vernon Dent, dismisses the charges, and Moe grabs the nearest axe and chases after Larry and Curly again.
"Pop Goes the Easel" (1935): The Three Stooges are running away from the police, and run into an artist's studio to hide. Mistaken as art students, Moe, Larry and Curly use various disguises to evade the police officer who has followed them into the studio, ending with a clay throwing fight.
"The Three Troubledoers" (1946): Set in the Old West, the Three Stooges are marshalls in a town where marshalls tend to die young. Moe, Larry and Curly set off to stop a forced marriage between the villianous Blackie and the heroine Nell, whose father has been kidnapped by Blackie. After defeating Blackie and his henchmen, Nell's father decides death would be better than seeing his daughter marry Curly.
"Yes, We Have No Bonanza" (1939): The Three Stooges are working as waiters in an Old West saloon alongside their girlfriends, trying to raise enough money to pay off the debts of their fiancees' father to their crooked boss. Moe, Larry and Curly go prospecting to raise more money, and dig up $40,000 in stolen money. A chase ensues, ending with the crooks crashing into the Sheriff's office.
"In the Sweet Pie and Pie" (1941): The Three Stooges are awaiting execution for crimes that they didn't committ. Three beautiful young sisters (Tiska, Taska and Baska) need to be married in order to gain their inheritance, and so they marry the soon-to-be-executed Moe, Larry and Curly. However, at the last minute the actual criminals confess, making the Three Stooges free men -- and their wives miserable. The girls consult with their lawyer, who recommends throwing a society party, in the hopes that the Three Stooges will wreck the event, and give the girls a cause for divorce. All goes according to plan and the party degenerates into a wild pie fight, however the girls decide to keep the Three Stooges and fire the lawyer.
