Elizabeth Cotton Recordingdate : Unknown. Note : This tune gives me nostalgic memories. It was my very first fingerpicking-tune I picked up from record, some 30 years ago. Play along : C G7 C E F C G7 C or transpose, if necessary. It's OK, if you hold the guitar as I do. The other way around ! *Smile*

Ya, I agree ! It's a very good song and I'm very proud, cause I have contact with her relatives in US. She was called Libba and she was as sweet as she sounds. Eller som vi säger i Skandinavien, Hon är lika go artist som människa. Ha det Gott Urban, Göteborg, Sverige Peace !

Elizabeth or "Libba", is/was an excellent artist and she show us, you don't need more than a voice and a git. to express yourself. Thanks for the comment and listening. Peace. Urban

Thx for posting this song. A beautiful melody, and to imagine she played it using her guitar and voice only. This is just amazing! Thk You Elizabeth (and KickingMule too).

Your comment, "I can play it in my dreams, if necessary", reminded me of the Steven Root, blind radio station operator, character from "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou." I loved that scene where he was air picking along while recording the "Soggy Bottom Boys." You just knew he could play it in his dreams and probably often did!
