You have got to be kidding! How can you generalize about dog lovers/cat lovers! What does that have to do with this song??? This song was popular not because of the lyrics but because of the melody which is still very
'catchy'. Put different words to it and it will still be significant. If you translate the words, they mean little to Americans --they are very religious. If this song were translated, it wouldn't have been popular here.

Yeah, I think know what you mean. Women in general seem to be more cat persons, while men more dog lovers.
Now please people, don't flood me with hate messages, I am generalizing--I know there are female dog lovers and male cat lovers. I'm just saying this based on years of observation of people I know.
