Hello, I don't understand why the flashback scene should be so complicated. Jus set it at a point when Kirk was alive, say Star Trek 6. It could go like this: So after Kirk & Co.have saved the life of the UFP Prez, they all set out one last time on the Enterprise, Kirk and Spock are talking and Kirk says something like: "You know Spock, alot of what happened during this mission reminds me of our first one..." "I know what you mean Jim..." And then you're off to the races! Easy!

It's not too late for them to fix this injustice. Mr. Shatner---take the cameo---please. I agree that it is a snub, but play Kirk's grandfather or something. You'll regret it later if you don't and I know the public will sorely miss you.

I am sure the new star trek movie will be great...in my opinion it would of been greater with the Captain Kirk we all know and love having a small part but...well I guess we will see...

Bill Shatner is a treasure of our time !! JJ Abrams -- shame on you! I will not be seeing your movie. I would have if Captain Kirk was in it !
