I might be able to pull off Battery, not exactly as it's recorded but close to it. Besides, have you seen Metallica's gig in Seattle? Lars doesn't hold a steady pace for a second during that performance.

I agree with the first part but he didn't use a drum machine I'm sure, just alot of cocaine.

Lars can't even play Dyer's Eve like it's recorded. He used a drum machine for it

damn straight, plus he's doing some intricate stuff, must be pretty damn hard.

In 1989 I can imagine him being one of the best, but he hasn't improved, if anything he's gotten more lazy and leaves a lot of stuff out live, but I dare you to play Battery or Dyers Eve like it's recorded! On the video: weird that they left out parts before the solo.

Lars isn't a good dummer, he's even been apointed as one of the worst metal drummers ever.

lol.

for a metal drummer, lars isnt spectacular. also hes a prick
agugugachu (August 20, 2008 at 3:06 pm)
dream theater hasnt gone the route of metallica. if you take a look at dream theater's albums, a lot of them differ in style. systematic chaos was an experiment, some of it good and some of it bad. their next album will be refreshing im sure.
on another note, wtf was up with that editing to bring the solo in? i understand that they needed to cut down on time but that sounded SOOOO awkward |
