scooby. Its not whether or not its far fetched or not. It is the fact that they represent a scientific experiment to gather information, then turn right around and piss on that very experiment. I did a wiki for split experiment. It seems to "peak" at the electrons, they have to put a device in the slit, or slits. It ain't a big eyeball like they show here. If we are going to use science, lets keep it real. That being said, I do believe human conscious affects every single little thing. God.

YouSpamTard I wouldn't dismiss as being BS. Most of this, when it comes to the observing bit is hypothetical, and was first the result of equasions. Shrodingers cat was the way it was first explained before practical investigation. Just saying that, I admit that if I can't comprehend it, I could not dismiss it. There are some really smart cookies out there that subscibe to this idea, and they are a lot smarter than me and probably you. But you might be right... gets quite far fetched...

This is incorrect. There is only one particle so it's impossible to slow it down with respect to itself. They don't actually put any kind of detector on the slit. They attach a device to each slit - one gives the particle left spin, the other gives it right spin (wiki quantum spin as it's meaning is not like spin on a wheel). They can then tell the spin of the particle when it hits the screen. Measuring the particle directly at the slit would stop the it from reaching the screen at all.

It has nothing to do with God or anything else supernatural. It sounds counter-intuitive, but at a quantum level, all things exist in many states simultaneously. It's only when we measure a particle (by observing it), that it takes on a single state. The video uses some unscientific language to make the subject matter more palatable, but wave/particle duality, quantum uncertainty and superposition are all well understood and very "scientific". Wikipedia the above terms for more information.

"consciousness affects reality" - No it doesn't. You have completely misunderstood the video and the implications of quantum superposition and decided to cling to the one piece of the video that supported what you obviously already thought was the case. Learn what wave/particle duality and superposition actually mean before you start drawing ridiculously pseudo-scientific conclusions.

scoobystu74. I do not believe what you say is the case at all. To me, I don't see it as such a strange thing that an electron can act as a particle and/or a wave. The queer shit going on here is that the representation of conscious is inserted in the end of the video without due acclaim to such a thing. This not only voids with agenda the science of the experiment, but it also voids the representation of what may truly be an effect of something much larger, that being conscious. Its a BS video.
