I do not think this women has a degree in Social Work. Social Welfare did not come about because of the cool mines. Social Welfare came about in Egyptian times and has evolved in to what it is today because of the Puritan who settled in America, they brought the only laws the knew. The Poor Law which has been revised over and over through out the years.
It is people like this women who give Social Workers a bad name and Americans in general.

First off I would like to see her crediantials. Second I would like to know what state she is licensed in.
Any Social Worker worth her weight knows what other states offer, other states offer the assistance she is talking about. Louisiana has programs for single, married, with children, and without children to help with food, clothing, money(TNAF), schooling, rent, elderly abuse, domestic abuse.

The majority being Single parents with children...a one bedroom in LA is anywhere from 850.00 a month to 1250.00 per month...and unlike other states, Californians on Welfare pay their rent ou of their monthly alotment, being...Mom-1 child...584..176.00 foodstamps .....Mom-2 children ...723.00 ...300.00 foodstamps.

OK, after the 5 years, a single mom with one child who was receiving 584.00 a month...has here income reduced to approx 332.00, this is her soul income.
After paying her rent, which Im sure she cant dobecause the cheapest motel in LA is over 350.00 a week, she also has utilities and necessities.
This is why there are over 100,000 homeless in Los Angeles on any one given night.

There are no training or retraining programs offered to any of the client nearing their 5year maximum on aid. They are ordered to attend GAIN for 2 weeks, from 8am to 3pm monday through friday in order to be taught how to fill out a resume and read the want ads. They are then givin blank list and told to go to three employers per day for each of the 5 days of the following week in order to apply for work. These

Changes as to a person's Social Worker averages approx 3 per year where as clients GAIN worker can change up to as many times as 7 in a 12 month period as the GAIN workeris contracted by the county and is not a county employee.

Their workers lack competency, losing client files constantly, and when doing so they actually ask that the client not disclose this info to their supervisor so they will have time to search for the file they misplaced (these files contain any and all info on client, bank acct #, birth certs on all fam members, Copies of ID's and Drvrs Licenses..etc etc.)

What a crock of chit!!!!! Los Angeles County Department of Social Services, referring mainly to the Glendale and Chatsworth offices do not assist their clients in the way this says they do.
They are both in the top 10 offices from hell....

i'm living in Lawrence,MA and i would like to get a degree in social works for there are a lot to do in this State. Minorities are a reality and families without support for a right inside foundation are too so i want to be useful to all those people, in words of Jesus "Blessed are the merciful,for they will be shown mercy" ahd "Love to Each Other how i have loved you"
