It's called a habit, bacause it's worn daily, it does not come from Greek, it's a habit, because it's worn daily, and it's habitual...it has nothing to do with a tunic...nuns never wore tunics.

It is a shame when people refuse to know and worship their Creator. To deny actually communicating with Him, is to completely miss the joy and the point of this music of His adoration, and to deny is to miss the Glorious Future He has for all who would receive Him. This nun knew God. Her music to Him is nothing short of beautiful

Good point. I wonder of the world is about to see a lot more of that now that the economy is collapsing. Since money has been tight, I have seen them go after many people who had a very short-term influx of cash but lost it before they could enjoy it. Now they owe tax on it all.

Because they are thieves. They do not care who they kill.

It's Ancient Greek. The word used to describe what they used to wear back then.

But what is the origin of the term?
Naturalhit (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
The word Habit is just another way of saying garment or tunic.
