Chris, I'm sure a better sounding whistle is in the future for the #22. It must be kept in mind, that this young man bought this engine when he was fourteen years old. Replaced the boiler, himself, just before he turned seventeen. Graduated high school and started college at eighteen. I don't think the whistle was a priority. And your right, it is a really nice locomotive. BTW, Cam has been running steam since he was elleven.
