Sid Fields would usually "double", often wearing a frightwig toupee, as a "employment agency" official {as when delivering "Get Out Of the Office"}, a druggist, or other dubious businessman Lou would meet up with. Fields knew all the burlesque "chestnuts"; had been one of Eddie Cantor's key writers on his radio show in the late '40s, as well as worked with Bud and Lou on their radio series...

OMG! I never knew that was Sidney Fields under those whiskers. He was great! I only remembered him as the landlord. What a good performer.

Sidney Fields is one of the most underrated comic actors of all time. His contribution to their TV shows is immeasurable.

Nobody ever did this funnier with Lou than Sid Fields did here! "Slowly I Turned" is one of the "legendary routines" of burlesque comedy....and Lou knew it, otherwise he wouldn't have insisted on including it in the filmed TV series....
