O yes. I'm a 16 year old guy, but I don't adress myself as goth. Or dress myself in horrible amounts of black. I consider myself post-punk and love Bauhaus among many other post-punk bands from the golden years =P.

You should set them straight..tell them that it's political metal and like..set them aflame..I'm not even that much of a fan of HIM..some here and there..but I don't consider it obsessable. what the hell would that be offensive??...We're obviously not talking about you then...we're talking about the mainstream "muzak" eaters who have no REAL dedication to this brilliant music or their "scene". If you can listen to and appreciate Bahaus and SOM etc,then you aren't in the subject of hand.

Oh believe me. At my highschool there was an entire sleu of goth followers who considered LOG to be goth. That and Cradle of filth and HIM... i do like HIM but i just dislike what I saw of the 'goth' culture in my school.
