I rather enjoy both this actress and Ms. Rossum's voice and both have a great range and tone to them, but the more than slight accent that Michael Crawford has is quite irritating for this part. I prefer Gerard Butler and his ever-so-slight accent.
This is only my opinion so plz no one get mad.
THIS MOVIE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!
GERARD BUTLER FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

rhydian owns this song better than this guy even if this is the orginal

Sarah Brigtman and Michael Crawford will always be the best! Plus, the words in this one is different from the original score and I'm not sure about them.

How very dull from Steve Harley. How come he got chosen for this part?

Brightman's makeup is very unflattering it doesnt work well with the song

I agree with you completely...Brightman is better at showing a subtle evilness within her..Rossum is better at the innocent voice.. Steve is nothing special

haha!! i'd say so, its Steve Harley from Cockney Rebel!

It's good but the video is kinda weird... LOL. I prefer the modern version, personally.

sorry that is one 80's phantom lol

Hmm.
I know this is supposed to be the better version and everything, but I think that Gerard Butler's voice is better for the Phantom. It has more of a mysterious feel to it, and Steve Harley kind of sounds like they pulled him out of a cast in a high school drama department.
Also...
Emmy Rossum does the "innocent" bit a little better than Sarah Brightman. Ms Brightman's eyes are a little too intense for innocent, I think
But I have to say, both Ms Brightman and Mr Harley make excellent faces! |
