I've NEVER seen anyone with a competent sense of musical taste say that they "hated" all of Mozart's piano concertos. Are you retarded, or are your ears just made out of tin?

I don't know much of Beethovens music but concerning the pieces I know (5th, 7th, 9th symphony, Fidelio, 5th piano concerto) I don't like Karajan as Beethoven conductor. I prefer Kleiber and Bernstein.

My favourite of all classical music; Beethoven's master piece "The Emperor". Now imagine this piano concerto 5 conducted by Herbert Von Karajan; would THAT be a sight!

Oh, well personally I hate it, as well as all of Mozart's piano concertos. I find Rachmaninov's piano concertos to be waaaayy better. And Sergei Prokofiev's, and Khachaturian's and Shostakovich's and all the other late romantic and 20th Century Russian Piano concertos. I do not see any beauty in the piece, or anything else from that era.

It is one of his most important works among many. The only one I've heard that comes close is Mozart's Elvira Madigan.

is this really considered the best piano concerto of all time?

Beethoven was the master. His music takes you on great journeys without bounds or limits. I guess that's what is so great about classical music. Since there's no lyrics, your mind kind of imagines a story to go along with it. At least, that's how I see it.
