amazing- im 15 and was 3 years old when this horse died, so i never really even knew of his existance untill i was a few years older, but i think he holds a place in my heart as my favourite, and proberly the worlds favoutite horse. i love the commentry toward the elbow- "he's getting the most tremendous cheer from the croud- theyre WILLING him home now! the 12 year old Red Rum, being proceded only by loose horses, being chased by Churchtown boy..." makes me cry every time!

I love how Rummys ears prick up in the final furlong he knows he's at Aintree and they're all cheering for him....I know its been a cruel race at times but it can make grown men cry watching this again !!!

There are and have been many beautiful and valiant racehorses - but they broke the mould when they made Red Rum. A magnificent horse - also a defiant egotist!! I love him! |
