No Asian kung fu star stands on a equal level to what Jackie Chan has done for martial arts movies.
He did stunts that no one even attempted in his prime. tony ja just recently has done similar things about 20yrs after jackie chan had already done them.
And the only star to have major hits in the west aswell...........
Watch jackies old movies you will see what he is about.

Man jackie has always been my favorite martial artist for numerous reasons. For one he does his own stunts and puts his life at risk and two he is very funny. I'd say he defnintly (sorry for spelling) one of the greats. The guy is a legend!
