Try using your own urine, or use a friend's. :-)

She makes it look too quick and easy. My neti pot takes about an hour to use, including staring at it in dread for 15 minutes to get up the nerve, turning beet red coughing and gagging once the feeling of drowning in salt water hits me, then blowing out snot from my nostrils for a half hour.
With that said, it works wonders. Haven't had a sinus infection in years, and it has clears congestion from a nascent cold like nothing else. Highly recommended despite being most uncomfortable thing ever.

Of course, but by that line of thinking you better not brush your teeth or use mouthwash or, hell, even EAT because if you get startled you could choke. This is simply a sinus rinse using saline solution. No, we didn't evolve to use this device but we also didn't evolve to use contact lenses, soap, or eye drops either.

Us boiled water, let it cool, that way there's nothing in there that can survive. I haven't had a sinus infection in four years since I started using one. Previously I got two a year.

It's very easy to accidentally breath. Ever been startled by a noise or something before?
theancientenemy (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
No water gets in your lungs (you don't breathe) and the water is a saline solution so it's not bacteria friendly. Using this thing gives you a LOT of relief if you have a sinus problem. You'd be amazed at the mysterious crap that clogs up your head when you have a sinus infection. It's pretty gross.
