They said it would never be the same to remake 7 and it wouldnt do as well... i dont believe it though.. All we can do is hope that square has a little secret of redoing them ... becasue final fantasy 7 was by far one of the greatest games not only by game play by by selling aspect also.. So they kinda silly by not remaking it...

i dont see why square shouldnt remake 7 8 and 9 they remade 12345 and 6 about 50 gazzilion times so why not remake the ps1 ones aswell. it makes sense to remake 7 as it is the next one in order then they could do 8 and then 9. it would keep order but instead square just remakes 12345 and 6 over and over.
