I didn't reference Jesus because I was a Christian (I'm not); I referenced him because I believe the quote he gave about critically thinking, open-minded people (let those who have ears to hear be able to hear the message) reminds me of how George wants us to listen to what he's saying beyond the laughter. Basically, "These are jokes and I hope you find them amusing, but I really would like it if you listened carefully to what I'm saying and gave this some serious thought."
