I saw them at Stanford U. They had just started the group weirdness, as they were bored Professors. I think my ex & I payed $10.00 to see them. They are definately in the WEIRD zone!!!

This video is damned eerie... and I like it. I understand Les Claypool is a huge fan of the Residents, I can certainly hear their influence on his singing style.

The early videos by The Residents inspired me to make videos. All my early stuff - which is mostly lost now - was conspicuously influenced by this video, Third Reich'n'Roll, and One Minute Movies. Well, that and the mountains of drugs I consumed in those days. I still love The Residents. THANKS!

From what I remember from my childhood...'Skinny' is my great-uncle Dermot Hughes, he lives in Pepperton Falls N. Dakota and has a flarn removal business... every other thursday, he does part-time work at the local grocers; waxing beans to make them more presentable. Often times otters watch him work. He has ponds. His middle name is 'Hoon' from my moms' side of the family.

What I am pretty sure is a member of the Residents or at least someone who knows them has told me that Skinny has moved back to New York and lives with his mother. No shit.
