A wonderful plan!! I am a big high speed train fan. I have been on French TGVs and Shinkansens in Japan and I loved them.

Its a DOMESTIC high speed rail service - not an international service! Besides - the eurostar seems to be coping well (an international service) without terrorists blowing it up every day..... paranoid egghead...

What about the guy that says: "I don't have to get there two hours early, like on an airplane. I only have to get there 15 minutes early and hop right on." Okay, but if that's true at first, it will change after the first suicide bomber blows up a trainload of passengers. But, of course, we don't guard against such things until AFTER they happen, then go way overboard.

Eurostar is a commercial name for a train service. The train is actually a modified TGV.

We WILL get HSR in all major cities and states across the U.S including and begining with California IF!! IF you vote *YES* on Proposition 1A and vote for Barack Obama. Barack Obama has shown COMPLETE support for building National HSR Infrastructure! Joe Biden is a DAILY Amtrak rider and Supports rail travel 100%. These two will get these projects built! As Opposed to John MCcain who is a well known "Train Hater" & thinks the little we spend on Amtrak is "a waste of money", Can U beleive it?
