Well, Justin wrote it, there's a model who resembles Brit in the video, it was released around the time that she was descending into turmoil...not *much* speculation required really.

There has been a lot of speculation on who this song is about. But that's all it is; just speculation. Simon refuses to say who it was written about. Sure, Britney fits the song, but so do all the other train wrecks out there.

when I remember this fucking song saw for first time the light I thought on britney spears and then I remember the asshole that wrote this song . I mean I like duran duran but the video is about the life of her and I'm so happy because she is back And now all want something with her

I have been a fan of Duran Duran since I was barely 9 years old, it is hard to believe that it is 27 years later now and still going strong, and writing and producing some mega tracks, even my kids Yaz, Si and Nik love Duran also, Simon will be 50 real soon, and still look's so like a man in his early thirties to me, brilliant track in case i forget to mention it!?!?
