I totally agree with you on the JROTC thing- I'm in it too but I don't really like to admit it. Most kids in it act really dumb. I got accepted early October, but I don't think JROTC helped with much.

jrotc is a joke, any1 can make it there easily, and honestly if you want to have a rough time, go to westpoint, vmi or citadel, afa isnt all that tough to me, personally, im sure its rough, but you never see a 2ndlt ever get any combat exp.

worddtothewisee,I definatly agree with you, I am currently not a cadet but a HS student applying, however, i went to summer seminar 08' and the only people who pissed everyone off the were the JROTC cadets who thought they knew everything. I'm in JROTC and they just made to organization look bad. My advice to anyone going to summer seminar 09' or applying to the class of 09' if you are accepted, its best to pretend your new to everything in BCT or you'll get chewed out.

What it comes down to is that you should not judge anyone; cadets, enlisted, officers, grads, everyone has their own merits and one should not generalize someone just because one person gave everyone else a bad name.

the incoming cadet wing commander is a prior, one of the BCT commanders was a prior, both of them have deployed, so I wouldn't say cadets don't know anything about the AF. Yet, I have seen some individuals 'straight out of highschool' exhibit more good leadership than anyone, especially other priors who come in with the attitude that they are better than everyone and get alienated from their classmates.

there's something i learned about the AF anything that doesn't make sense the AF will do it so don't be surprised if i reply to this video by september saying yeah they pull my stripes and told me to follow the instructions from a cadet that doesn't know anything about the AF and i had to teach him some stuff lol but i dont care if that's what it takes to be an officer i'll take it
