Our Stubby is almost 6 mo`s & I have caught him chewing on the front door franme. Our Amstaffs tore up our last couch. StubbyG hasn`t pissed in the house for a couple of weeks now. Even if you fix him at 16 mo`s chances are he`ll be very aggressive towards other male dogs. 40 minute walks definately tire him out & somewhat curtails his destructive nature. Unless you are right with him always expect that he will damage things. SBT`s are a lot of work but worth it !

Crate train at 1st he will cry but he will get used to it. Take him outside at night every 3-4 hours to the same spot & tell him to go potty. If you don`t crate train him he will pee on your matress,couch,carpet. He will chew on furniture,carpet, shoes & electrical cords (dangerous). Give him chew toys. Fortify your fence line Staffys dig! Don`t neuter until 16 mo`s to ensure proper growth. Lotsa training & reinforcement NEVER hit a SBT stern verbal commands only.Get Cesar Millan puppy book

Have you ever owned one? No because you can`t afford one & you`re too much of a lazy slob to walk it daily. Staffy`s are high energy & as long as they are socialized & walked daily they are quite possibly the best breed ever created! Now go add water to your fish bowl before it drys up "notsmart"

beautiful! i've got a black & white staffie i got her from battersea dogs home in london july 2007 she was mistreated bad skin, shes happy & healthy, shes 2/3 yrs old, love her to death, cant stand ill treatment to animals, humans

I'm getting one next week he is 8 weeks. Are they hard to house train you know? That's what I'm afraid of b/c I really want to get him house broken FAST..
