Everytime i watch a Sonic Youth or Smashing Pumpkins video, i scroll down to see arguments on what they are on every page. Why cant people just enjoy the music and stop being so anal! (They're Alternative Rock)

It's not a snob moment in my opinion, it's true after all the whole grunge wave was late late 80s to early 90s and Sonic Youth had been around since 77. So yup theyre noise rock!
