gettinghitonattheban - I think you misunderstood what I wrote, or, I didn't do a good job of writing what I think about 'democracy' - I am FOR state rights, and reigning in federal government to the very small size it was intended to be. It's that word, democracy, that has fooled people, manipulated them - as democracy is 'majority rule' and does not abide by the principles of liberty and freedom, nor does it respect the natural rights of individuals. In the name of freedom, let us unite.

Thumbs down? He speaks the truth. A Democracy calls for a Big and Powerful Federal Government (Hence Democrat). A Republic goes to states' right. States are smaller and therefore easier to control by the people. With a small government (Federal gov,), the crutch to the corporations is lost, and along with it's power. So long as the people learn to control, take care, and educate themselves the power is theirs. Republicans these days aren't Conservatives. They are fascist. Learn the difference.
