Shut the fuck up, you don't know what you're talking about. Once upon a time, individuals decided to form a secondary government, an institution of universal morality, a conformist world upon the masses with their ideas of morality & make loads of cash. What better way to do this than with a violent blind delusion that is inforced by brainwashing, fear, & false hopes? They played with natural selection by slaugthering & isolating those that do not obey. This was the desert dogma trio. The End.

IJ, I was a member of LaVey's church as far back as 1970. His approach to "therapy" wasn't that novel approach. It was utilized by one of Freud's students, Wilhelm Reich, one of the people he included in the original Satanic Bible dedication. From Reichian Therapy came Primal Scream Therapy which became popular two years after the SB was published.

I'm not so sure that I can agree with that approach after seeing an experiment prove that acting everything out can cause you further and more intense issues. However judging yourself guilty and with shame isn't good either.

I know that their ritual's aren't only about what I mentioned in my last comment. Satanism was the chosen name because of what satan primarily stands for. Things such as greed, lust, hatred etc... And instead of trying to eradicate natural impulses LaVey explains that you can use them respectfully until the impulses fade vs the alternative method of bottleing it up and not being true to yourself.

I was just trying to say that satanism from my observation is therapeutic in the sense of recovering from a personal "habitual" judgment over ones self and being judgmental over others due to what your taught/told to believe vs the satanic reasoning that tells you that everything is only relative and through an "unnecessary" but potential form of rituals one could eradicate unwanted personal views & bigotry. It's no secret that the rituals are merely used as a cognitive science like approach.

I think I understand what you mean. But I'm not sure if this isn't exorcising the devil with the beelzebub, like trying to get rid of a nicotene (sp?) addiction with nicotene gum and nicotene plasters... About this globetrekker - some xtians actually seem to believe that after "the rapture" they'll sit at the side of Jesus and be able to gloat down at those not saved suffering in all eternity. Tells you that who ever made that up at least knew about Schadenfreude...
