PART 2 in SERIES - In this lesson we look at the three most commonly used scales in blues, The Minor Pentatonic, The Blues Scale and The Dorian Mode. This is your blues "alphabet" and you should get to know these before starting to learn your licks! Taught by Justin Sandercoe. Full support at the web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a great forum too to get help, no matter what the problem. And it is all totally free, no bull. No sample lessons, no memberships. Just tons of great lessons :) To get help with your lesson look up the number at the start of the video title (like ST-666 or whatever) on the Lesson Index page. http://www.justinguitar.com Good luck and take care, J

i don't get why people think ''the box'' is a blues scale, but it's not
gc6133 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
im familiar with all modes. 1. Ionian 2. Dorian 3. Phrygian 4. Lydian 5. Myxolidian 6. Aeolian 7. Locrean (probably not spelled correctly lol) can u make a vid describing all of the modes and how they can be used in solos and sutff?
gc6133 (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
yeah they all work together because some are in both scales. thats a good idea to use in solos.
