When those kittens grow up, they will be attacking postmen, pissing on lamp posts and burying bones

I homeschooled, its far better and I know what you mean, but like your family, there was a father present. Many women are abandoned by the father of the child, or the father is so violently unstable, drug-addicted etc. that she has to work. Daycare is a new improvement on total abandonment in our society--remember the "Satanic mills" of the 19th century? These women left their babies home ALONE with a rag in a bowl of milk and the other end w the baby. They HAD to.

My wife doesn't work and we get by. We go without a few things but my wife is there 24 hours a day for our children. They definitely feel loved. It doesn't mean they get babied but she is there for them always and our kids are growing up very balanced and stable because of this. They are also very smart and this is probably because we homeschool. And on top of this my wife finds time to do dog rescue from home by phone and online. So it all depends on what you want to "make" happen.

When your heart is in the right place - things mysteriously happen that ensure basics of living are taken care of. It is when we deviate and want more than we need then things go awry. Going out to work to pay for daycare is so irrational - take the daycare expenses out of the equation and that is $100-$150 less that has to be earned per week. If the father works then there is no need for the mother to do so. There's a million jobs that can be done from home these days.

Hey MOTHERS, get a little love in your hearts? And exactly where are they going to get MONEY to keep a roof over their heads or feed their children? It was our Congress under Clinton that denied anything more than the most minimal welfare to Mothers, so, you have to ask yourself about the rationality of asking about mothers getting a bit of love back in their hearts, without asking about the lack of love in the society that has forced them to be separated from their children.
