i think if something of that size hit the earth it would make the earth explode into a bunch of pieces. i would be surprised if the earth held together like that if that happened

That's a lil more than an asteroid and likely be spotted - only politics WOULD stand in the way of dealing with it - the most rockets you've ever seen deploying rockets to that thing - none of the slow burn practical asteroid approaches would deal with THAT thing,
