moneymaker-go to ebay you get get quality smaller ones for 30-50 dollars you want hand hammered,made of multiple metals

depends what country you are in really. In Australia you can get nice bowls / great sounds for $45 upwards. they are machine made but they still have fantastic sounds, just beware of the cheap imitations from dare I say china :) some have bad sounds and can rust

Go to wiki and look up 'Singing Bowls.' Read about "real" ones - hand made in times past of at least 5 metals - to give prolonged and harmonic tones.
I wouldn't buy one at any price, unless I could try it out - i.e. in person. Head for your nearest Chinatown or Korean or Japanese enclave in any city.
Some are struck, some rubbed, some "brushed" to produce different sounds.

The smaller ones are maybe in the $50-$100 range... depends on whether they are hand made of cheap machine made knockoffs. There probably more like $5000-$6000 in bowls here... if they are high quality hand made ones.
