I am a teacher from a very conservative Republican state. I, did not vote for Obama, but was excited for him to talk to the children. I was shocked to hear from the Principal of the school, that parents were going to take their kids out of school that day, because they didnt want their child to be brainswashed. I think the things Obama highlights are universally accepted. I dont understand why people are so against EVERYTHING he has to say.

sure im proud a black man in office, as it shows the progression of our people in the world, would i have supported Obama had he been a bush clone and not the same political ideology as me, no way. i would have been proud of his achievements but not voted for him. Why is it hard to imagine that after centuries of enslavement that black folks are proud that the man leading the nation is one that looks like them. his is half white and was raised by white grandparents, does he hate them 2?
