What HD is is basically LE with some extra options, but it comes with much better interfaces, and comes with a drive which can connect to the computer and do most of the processing there, instead of on the actual computer.

I'm not sure the context of your question but I'm willing to bed the HD refers to Pro Tools HD system.. so yes, High Definition. Which is really bullshit because you're still going to get the same sound on CD since it's 44k 16 bit no matter how you record it. MAYBE you might get a better sound recording a live piano or accoustic guitar but all you really need to do is record at 44k 24 bit and the sound is identical, or at least the difference isn't recognized by the human ear. |
