i agree completly. they should raise awareness more hair days and try get celebs involved or sumtin even more then people will listen up and reliese esp. to the young people

Having watched all 5 videos, it seems as though the real story is that black-owned beauty businesses got sidelined largely because they didn't keep a close enough watch on the changing economic environment. They focused almost exclusively on the consumer end and made the fatal assumption that the playing field would remain a tussle between black and white business owners, and thus failed to notice that distribution channels were slowly being consolidated by Koreans. The results are truly sad.

Even I don't believe this. The Korean see an opportunity to provide a service and since these particular black people didn't think of it first they are having a fit and acting like the Koreans are insulting. It's called being an entrepreneur (sp?) You see an opening and you go after it. I would be ashamed I didn't think of the needs of my own people's needs rather than trash and insult the people that thoght of it. This is just unbelieveable to me!

What a joke. I am not saying that her husband didn't do it. But come on now. They are business people. Why would he go and burn someone else's supply. Keywords "never been arrested, never been a police car" There is malicious behavior going on and these tactics have been going on for years to make blacks look like criminals. That is an insult on black character. There are plenty of blacks that no how to run a business and be prosperous and there are some that just can't stand it.

Thats great. Instead of going to a local, minority owned business you're going to Walmart. Send your money to White corporate America and to China instead. Just as long as it's not going to those evil Koreans.

Well I went to compare the price of all the hair care products that I normally by with the korean shops and Walmart and Walgreens and the price isn't that great when compairing with walgreens being the greater price between the three so I start to shop at walmart for all my hair care needs because here where I live there are no Black Owned hair care stores.

if you can't read btwn the thick line he ask abt rap stars and black celebrities bc believe it or not ppl look up to them and if more of them would come out and say "support black business" ppl would listen. yes it's sad that it takes that, but it's reality that celebrities are the only rolemodels for some people.

I really don't care about beauty supply stores (I don't shop in them) or weave (I don't wear them) but I can understand the struggle to start and keep more black businesses open. There aren't many out there and we should support the right ones when possible.
