good orchestra, good soloist, superb chorus, excelent direction, however I think it's too fast and too unfeelable, Mahler has to be performed as slow as possible, that's when you will "feel" the Resurrection the composer's wants to share

You've got to be kidding. This is magnificent. You've probably heard Rattle's bad performance too many times and have an improper yardstick. If Mahler were alive he would be in tears of joy after hearing this performance.

Our interpretations are different, of course. Sorry, where is life? This is too technical, where is the suffering, pain and struggle? And than there is the power of the faith...

I don´t get you people. There are many great recodings of Mahler´s Second Symphony. Bernstein, Solti, Abbado, Tennstedt, Neumann, Haitink, Chailly, Sinopoli, Kubelik, Inbal, Rattle (if you like him) etc. and all of them have their unique approach to this monumental score. There is NOONE who doesn´t interpret! If you like the notes as they are written, you have to read the score and stop listenig to any performance, but you still have the problem, that this will be your interpretation.
