I think what you're seeing is the eye bolt which is screwed into the device which slides along the ring. The eye bolt has a thin cord strung through it which I use to center myself. If you look at earlier portions of the video you'll see the eye bolt slide by my chest during every vernal and autumnal equinox.

I think I'll probably stop rotating at the time of death and then just crumble into dust bunnies - all recorded on film I hope.

It might be difficult to fit the ring in the casket. Will you be rotated by something mechanical? Will you have to be buried in an upright position? All questions I need answering.
