Well said slipknotpsycho: Why the hell should it matter what colour your skin is, if you like the music you like the music....simple as! I empathise as I get a lot of flak from people of my age group (50) for being Goth and listening to Epica, Sirenia, Delain and Within Temptation etc. Hey, it's my life, I am who I am, and if people don't like it...tough!

That kind of goes into my point, but not exactly, he's expected to like rap, I'm not sure where you live, but here any black man listening to rock/metal gets alot of strange looks from white people and flak from the black community.. It pretty much illicits the same as if a headbanger was a fan of Brittney Spears or something, the actual fans are like WTF, and everyone in his subculture rides his as about it, constantly. I see no reason for things to be this way, just weird to me.

That's just disrespectful to the band.. Most every band is different then one way or another, to hold them to a cookie cutter and expect them to be like everyone else would leave the music world very dull.. We'd all be listening to the same few notes played on the same instrument just in a slightly different pattern.. The music would be nothing you would even consider music, even wind chimes would be more original.

Okay, I translated what you said on babel fish, I only speak minimal spanish.. But I got the gist of what you were saying.. You're trying judge them for what they're not, rather then what they are... Do you judge oranges and grapefruit equally because they both have the same kind of skin, filled by sectional fruit with seeds embedded in the fruit, or do you judge an orange as an orange? They're nearly identical until you look deeper.. Like the band for what it is, don't hold it up to others.
