I agree.. but in all fairness there where a lot of groups there that weren't famous at the time like Sha Na Na and Santana to name a couple. BUT all in all I agree 100% with the rest of what you said.

I definitely agree that Sha-na-na, while pretty groovy, should not have been in the film. They weren't a major factor in Woodstock, nor were they even that famous at the time. But Country Joe? Come on, man. The F-U-C-K Cheer and the whole Country Joe & The Fish thing was a huge thing... the Fixin'-To-Die-Rag was one of the most important protest songs of the Sixti-... er.. I mean of all time. I don't see why everyone is hating on Joan Baez, fucking amazing voice she's got.

It's my understanding that a lot of material from the Woodstock shoot never saw the light of day because of poor recording quality on the audio, and/or poor film due to (mostly) poor lighting on the night-time sets. . .You just couldnt see what was going on. We almost didnt get to see Crosby-Stills-Nash & Young for that very
reason ! ! !

This band is one of the most underated and unappreciated bands..saw them this summer on tour. Powerful melodic bass, stinging blues guitar, with tight drumming. "Blues'Metal"

Three days at Woodstock would have been worth it just for Hendrix, Mountain, Santana, The Who and Ten Years.
