The Nicholas brothers (dancers in the legendary stormy weather sequence) where certainly better then Astaire or gene kelly and co its true you would have to compare the two together to truly judge but the extra natural flair from the brothers is something astaire and co just didnt have nor the athletisim to jump around like that. Its the little known dancers versus the world famous star who had the massive production numbers so most votes will skew in the famous guys favour.

wrong but astarire himself i heard ? said those 2 black brother dancers were as good or a little better than fred but then again to compare dancers those 2 would have to dance the same routine as a fred astaire or gene kelly and then judge. i see a lot of tap dancing here but its only when tap is combined with jazz that u get the full entertainment and style of dancing dancing isn't that hard. if i practiced as much as astaire, kelly, the brothers i would be as good as them dancing is simple
