funny people was a piece of shit. sandler's character scolds rogen's character for telling fart and masturbation jokes, claiming that rogen will never get laid in his life if he is known for fart jokes. if sandler is supposed to be a famous comedian in the movie, why does he have such a shallow understanding of comedy? george carlin told fart jokes throughout his career, i don't think anyone went up to him and said he'd never get laid because he told fart jokes, and if they did they're an idiot.

no actually i'm portraying that these cliche gender roles in our society are fucked up and stupid, and yet nobody seems to care and nobody wants it to change. it is keeping both men and women in boxes and is shallowing out everyone's personality. it's fucking terrible and yes it's been happening for centuries but we've already realized we were wrong for centuries about racism and homophobia, so why not realize we're wrong about these cliche gender roles and try to change them?
