this song is called yellow ledbetter becuase its a slur of words. Veder mumbles on purpose and sometimes changes the lyrics during shows to what he is thinking about.

this song is called yellow ledbetter beacuse the name is a slur of words. He purposely mumbles and makes the words hard to understand.
DarkColdDaze (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
This song wouldn't be so hard to understand if he pronounced the words instead of mumbling.

I looked up the lyrics and I saw some crazy variations...
That part that sounds like a "box or a bag", people have stipulated it might say "boxer or a bag" like this video. I disagree with both because it makes more sense to say "I don't, I don't know if he'll come home in a box or with a bag" since it is a song about a friend in the first Gulf War. If he dies in war, he comes home in a box. If he does not, he comes home with a bag
Any ideas?

The Wind Cries Mary isn't in E major ;) And I'd say this is a bit close to Little Wing's feel, than Lenny's, but it's all opinion

The intro kinda reminds me of Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix.
