Ron Bumblefoot Thal uses a thimble on his pinkie to get higher notes when the fretboard runs out
IDhuff (December 31, 1969 at 4:59 pm)
he uses a thimble to hit high notes, not a whammy pedal

Yeah. Pretty sure he used a fretless on rhode island shred.I have never seen him use a whammy pedal. The only amp he uses is a Line 6 Vetta II. Don't think he uses any pedal.

Anyone know where I can find Rons live rig set up in full??Or shed any light on if he in fact uses a whammy pedal, and if so what tunes.Thank you in advance..

I read your comment on Guthries vid and think you are right.I dont think Ron uses a whammy pedal,I cant find anything to support that.I know for a fact Govan uses one on RI shred live,I have to agree Ron did not use on on RI Shred, not to say he does not as a fact but Ive been looking and as of yet have simply not seen or heard it .
