it's strange... without this version, the sun kil moon version wouldn't even exist, but i MUCH prefer the sun kil moon version. it's one of the most gorgeous, poignant pieces of music i've heard in a long time.

@jo3ym He was a crow. The child's family were sunflower farmers. Crows are vermin to farmers of any sort, especially sunflower farmers, the mother thought it better the animal die, but the boy didn't understand his mother's hatred for the crow, instead feeling naive compassion for another living being. It was just a wounded bird to him.
