I should add i am not religious & believe a lot of what some people say is due to what they want to believe(religion).
In my case as clear as day for so long ago was more of a tunnel enveloping me & travelling over me than travelling down it.
I would say this though,i am not doubting that people have reached the end of the tunnel, but the sense i got was a sixth sense of no return if you reach the end.You don't have to be religious to believe what we know as death is not the end of life.

I have an opened mind on this as someone who has 'died'.
The tunnel thing is said to be the brain closing down, you get a tunnel effect, however when i went down the tunnel this explanation cannot explain the feelings you get.
I did not reach the end but i felt a huge calm came over me i was only 3 yrs old.
I floated up to the clock on the wall and levitated above myself before going down a tunnel of flecked light.
I am a open-minded person but for all of us to have same experinence?

dmustard11 - I've read your fiery posts of recent, and it must be difficult to keep your patience. Today I looked at your oldest posts. You were friendly, polite and encouraging, and you mused on the interesting questions science has yet to solve (but will do/has done). You talked more about Parnia and Fenwick's studies which showed your intelligence and was intreresting. Believe me it was really readable and thought provoking. Hope you become calmer again and post more like that soon.

For those being 'brainwashed' by dmustard11's views about Parnia's theories, I am going to summarise the main points Parnia makes in each one of his papers to date, as a blog, since dmustard won't take the trouble to do it himself. When it is set up I will post a link for anyone who is interested to follow. It is not nearly as black and white as dmustard makes out, as you will soon see. I have access to all the full text papers through the university.

Hee hee. I can direct you to the page that says the 'natural physical laws' came into being after the big bang began. And I NEVER said that the universe was begun by a God, so don't even go there. I said it began by a supernatural event.
The bit I mention is from:
Kolb and Turner (1988), chapter 7

Dmustard has not bothered or intimidated or indeed been impolite to anyone for several comments now. Perhaps we should just live and let live and hope he will too.

There is absolutely no point worshipping an imaginary being. Have a nice day too.

All I am saying is enjoy what you have now because it won't last long. Love your parents and friends and live your life to the fullest because you won't ever have that again once you die. You will never see your mother or father or brothers or sisters ever again after you die. So enjoy it now while you still have it!

On the contrary - I am chilling out on a saturday afternoon drilling some sense into deluded people. I have a perfectly fine life with lots of friends and family and a good career - I would not lie about that.
I am a realist and 150% atheist. Science is destroying religion. |
