Didn't watch this show but I can see some of the similar humour he brought as Ralph Furley on Three's Company. Love the movie The Ghost and Mr. Chicken.

There never will be a comedy team as great as Andy Griffith and Don Knotts. They were just so in tune with one another...just sheer perfection. And Andy's brilliance was knowing that Don was the funny one of the team. He knew to let Don just GO. THAT is genius (both of them!)

The car that barney bought was one of Andy's favorite episodes! Mine too!

"Boy, giraffes are selfish...just run around, looking after number 1....getting hit by lightening...." Excellent, wonderful. I thought I had seen every one of these (I am 48) but I sure don't remember this one! Andy was smart; he let his fellow cast members be in the spotlight; a lot like Jerry Seinfeld (among other similarities of the shows). Great posting...thanks for the memories ("Citizen's AH-RAY-EST!!" My mom STILL says that to this day!!)
