Gosh, you´re so boring...
This thing is brilliant, the life must be funny, creative and different every day... The people have to change, yes but that process can be interesting and why not, funny... even if that has a cost.
And well it´s a public trash can. So, someone could throw you in... obviously.
Shut up and let the creative ones do their job.

Wth dudes... don't complain! It is a prototype to explore oppertunities and actually it is a great idea. I guess a lot of people writing here haven't any knowledge about a design process and product development. Seriously that is sooo bad to bitch about such a great prototype...

We all know the fun is going to wear off.
Plus, the more important point is that it will break. Just a gust of wind could break it. it could break the next day!
Plus, it is a public trash-can. So, some one could obviously steal it.
When you put all of these things together, it makes it a definite waste of money.
The PEOPLE have to change, not the trash-cans. You can't argue with this. Its common sense.

Some of the people commenting here, doesnt see the big picture.
This is ONE bin. In ONE park. In ONE city.
What if you had 1 bin that you moved around the city, in every + 100'000 ppl city in America (just using this as an example).
Of course the novelty value of it would wear off but, when you have +100'000 people and changed the location of the bin... well you can see my point.
This isnt just a "Well-it-was-fun-for-a-day-idea".
