The problem is, the republican party does not respect facts. They interpret information in whatever way will hurt the democratic party. So, since the economy is in bad shape when he has been president, of course its Obama's fault if you're a republican.

That's pissed-off Republicans saying that crap. Republicans are the party of the rich (employers), not the party of the people, though they fool a lot of AMericans into voting for them. Republicans will stoop to any level to denigrate a Democrat.

That's just right-wing republicans. . Bush basically caused us and the world to go into a recession, and Obama is trying to fix it. However, Obama is a democrat and to a republican pretty much everything he says or does is wrong in someway.

Someone commented that Obama has hurt America more in 9 months than Bush did in 8 years. I am not from America yet I keep reading that it seems that Obama is helping the American economy recover. Could someone enlighten me it seems although I have been to university I am unable to process facts.

All he needed to do was tell Virginia voters what his plans were on five key issues:
-Jobs
-Transportation
-Healthcare
-Energy
-Education
That's it. Run a campaign with positions to stand on, regardless of Obama, and Deeds could've done a lot better.
McDonnell won the race because he ran his campaign on the ideas that he had to improve the jobs situation in Virginia. That's all.
If you believe anything else, for both governors races, you're fooling yourself.

When was he anti-Obama? You keep putting that statement out front, as if it actually carried any merit.
He's against Obama because he doesn't support a "public option", which was originally tied to Medicare, at rates that would've ravaged rural hospitals?
That's utter nonsense.
The fact of the matter is Deeds ran a campaign where no one knew where he stood on any of the issues, outside of his belief that McDonnell was a "radical".
All Deeds needs was a 5 point plan.

Just look at what he did in his campaign He didn't even go into the black community's he didn't hit the city's or the University's at all unless Pres. Obama was with me. He thought he could just hit the rural areas and pluck off enough independents with his anti-Obama, no opinion, trash talk about the Rep's and he would get the white independent vote and that would be enough. And the Republican looked at what Pres. Obama did and did it to a tee. He stayed in the middle and didn't do attack adds.

But for quite some time there has been talk of a drift towards the euro... dunno what he means about gold based reserve ... as far as I know thats already the case... gold and silver reserves propping up currency... anyway economics is not my area...
