Daddy Funk appears to be a cool guy. I like it when a person can really play and he or she takes the time to teach those who are willing to learn. The flam-paradiddle is a great exercise.

i like how he flams. i usually do really open flams. but its just opinion

Hes nto using a moeler technique which is why it sounds so open. there are only 2 accents which are both on the flams, the rest of the 16th notes plaed are all played gracefully, not ghosted but not too open like hes playing.

love drum terminology... it is clear to me here that what should be played at any given moment is what "feels" the best for the drummer- what the drummer's psyche, nerves, and muscles 'need'... but then I'm all for 'art' drumming- along with the functional first tracks to be laid down, I always make another as the very last track, and think 'art'... |
