What was so great about the 80s was that a traditional blues and R&B song like this could get lumped in with New Wave and still sound good alongside bands like The Cure, Thompson Twins, Psych Furs...that was the beauty of that time in music...It was such a melting pot of styles and a great deal of it was incredible. Anyone with even a hint of a hopeless romantic in them likes this song, and if you say you dont, I wouldnt believe you!

this was a Hall & Oates song but Paul did it better. Love the 80s so much wish music was like that decade.

I've noticed that most covers tend to pale in comparison to the original, but I take this as a major exception. I really like the Hall & Oates original, but I think this cover really did it justice. Kudos to Paul Young. :)

Yep, it always reminds me of one of my favorite movies, Planes, Trains & Automobiles. GREAT movie and GREAT song ! Bring back the 80s ! |
