That doesn't necessarily mean she was with someone else.
It could also mean she was like some big pianist and instead of playing to a big crowd, she played for him alone.

Tehre was no indication in the song that another man was involved, so i don't think that's the case.

It could be interpreted that way. The beautiful girl could be his sister, and they went looking for her. So i wouldn't rule out the possibility. =]
